How does Blackburn obtain consent?

The choice to provide Blackburn with your consent is always yours, however, your decision to withhold such consent may limit our ability to provide you with certain products, services, or offers.
What can Blackburn do with my account and personal information?
Blackburn will only use your account and personal information to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected as outlined above under “Why does Blackburn collect personal information?”
When will Blackburn disclose information about me?

- To a public authority or agent of a public authority, for emergency public alerting purposes, if a public authority has determined that there is an imminent or unfolding danger that threatens the life, health or security of an individual and that the danger could be avoided or minimized by disclosure of the information.
- To a third party who may be interested in buying Blackburn assets and personal customer must be shared in order to assess the business transaction.
- We will disclose information about your credit behaviour to credit reporting agencies or parties collecting outstanding debt.
- Your personal and account information may also be shared with other Blackburn affiliates.
- We may also de-identify, aggregate or anonymize information about our customers to identify trends, manage our business, develop statistical information, understand how we are performing, or develop relevant products, services or offers. Such de-identified information may also be shared with third parties for other analytical purposes but will not personally identify any individual and therefore is not subject to our privacy policy.
How long will Blackburn retain my personal information?
Blackburn will only retain your personal or account information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or for sufficient time to allow you access to the information if it was used to make a decision about you or your account. Information that is no longer required by us will be destroyed or anonymized.
What if I disagree with the accuracy of my personal information Blackburn has about me?
Blackburn ensures that customer information is accurate, complete and up to date. You may ask us to review the information we have about you at any time. Account and personal information about our customers are stored or processed in Canada.
The information will be protected with appropriate safeguards but may be subject to the laws of

Blackburn has rigorous security and safeguard processes and procedures to ensure customer information remains safe from theft, loss or unauthorized access.
