Reporter/News Anchor (Wingham, ON)

Are you a passionate journalist with a belief that local news is more important than ever? Are you interested in a mix of newscasting and reporting?

Blackburn Media Inc. is looking for an energetic journalist to work in our Midwestern Ontario newsroom in Wingham, Ontario.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to: weekend newscasting on our three radio stations, field and desk reporting, creating content for CKNXNewsToday.ca, and social media engagement.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A diploma or degree in journalism from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Exceptional news judgement.
  • An ability to write clear and concise news stories for on-air and online presentation.
  • A strong on-air sound.
  • A strong work ethic.
  • A critical mind and a willingness to dig for the story.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
