Blackburn Media Inc. has a rare opening for a Commercial Producer to join our production team in Chatham, supporting our radio stations across Southwestern Ontario. This is a key creative role responsible for transforming written commercial copy into effective, well-produced audio that meets client objectives and station standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Creative Writers and Sales to produce compelling, effective commercials for our clients accurately and on time
- Record, edit, and mix audio to create polished commercial messages ready for broadcast.
- Direct and coach voice-over talent, including announcers and clients, to achieve the desired delivery.
- Maintain organized sessions and file management within Adobe Audition and company systems.
- Provide occasional vacation backup and/or other production support.
- Represent Blackburn Media professionally at occasional station or client-related events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Creative Manager.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant audio or commercial production experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Audition; familiarity with Wide Orbit, CS Producer, or CS Writer is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Creative, and Programming teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong listening skills and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Positive, team-focused attitude.
